EU Commissioner Pledges More Money to Armenia
Stefan Fule, the EU’s Commissioner responsible for enlargement and European neighborhood policy, arrived in Yerevan today and said that European Union assistance to Armenia would almost double for the period 2011-2013, from the 151 million Euros in 2011. During meetings with RA President Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and representatives from opposition political parties Mr. Fule discussed the Armenia’s internal political situation, security issues related to the Metzamor nuclear plant and regional matters.
