Mayor's Office to Allow Opposition Rally in Freedom Square

In a reversal, the Yerevan Municipality has said that will allow the Armenian National Congress (HAK) to stage its April 28 rally in Opera’s Freedom Square.

The Municipality had denied a permit for Freedom Square back on April 13. HAK has only said that it submitted additional paperwork after the initial refusal. What that paperwork contained remains unknown.
