
Parliament Prez Abrahamyan Resigns
Minutes ago, Hovik Abrahamyan declared that he was resigning from the position of National Assembly President but that he would continue to serve as an MP.
The statement was greeted by a standing chorus of applause by the other MP’s at the parliament session.
Abrahamyan said that the country was entering the campaign phase for the upcoming 2012 parliamentary elections and that he had been given the honorable responsibility of organizing the ruling party’s campaign.
