Twelve institutions of higher learning in Armenia are included in the list of the top 1,000 biggest taxpayers in the country.

Yerevan State University is the largest taxpayer of the twelve, coming in at 92^nd place with 610,384 AMD in paid taxes.

Second amongst the schools is the Mkhitar Heratsi State Medical University with 319,091 AMD in taxes (158^th place); followed by the Khachatur Abovyan State Pedagogical University with 299,918 AMD (202^nd place).

The list, prepared by the RA State Revenue Committee, covers January-September of 2011.
