Armenian Teams Lose In UEFA Europa League Qualifiers

In the first qualifying matches of the 2014-2015 UEFA Europa League, teams from Armenia lost.

Shirak (Gyumri) was beaten by Shakhter Karagany (Kazakhstan) by a score of 2-1 at Gyumri.

Yerevan’s Mika was beaten by RNK Split (Croatia) 2-0 in a game played in Split.

Yerevan’s Pyunik was beaten by Astana (Kazakhstan) 4-1 in a game played in Yerevan.

The return matches are scheduled for next week.

The 2014–15 UEFA Europa League is the 44th season of Europe's secondary club football tournament organized by UEFA, and the 6th season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. The 2015 UEFA Europa League Final will be played at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
