Lyudmila Sargsyan, Chair of the Social Democrat Hnchak Part in Armenia, stated that Turkey is in no hurry to ratify the Turkish-Armenian Protocols and that it’s main concern today is to sow doubt about the reality of the Armenian Genocide. "Turkey can delay the ratification process for a long time, regardless of the pressures brought to bear by the United States which is conveniently using the Genocide and other issues to get Turkey to sign," Mrs. Sargsyan said, adding that it is clear that the border will not open until Armenia makes serious concessions on the Karabakh issue.
