Parliament Prez: Some MP's Should Watch What They Say in Public

At a news brief today, RA National Assembly President Hovik Abrahamyan refuted a recent WikiLeaks report that he had told the U.S. Deputy Ambassador Joseph Pennington that Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan “only talks but doesn’t act.”

“I never had a meeting with the Deputy Ambassador, so how could I have made such a statement,” Abrahamyan told reporters.

Mr. Abrahamyan also advised MP’s to “watch what they say” to their constituents during breaks in the legislative corridors lest one day their statements become public knowledge.

He said recent WikiLeaks reports regarding Armenia should serve as a warning to certain legislators who have a tendency to speak openly to keep their statements moderated.

Wow, what a novel concept - letting voters know what their representatives actuall whisper behind the closed doors. Someone in Armenia should patent the idea.
