At today’s trial session of Nikol Pashinyan, Prosecutor Harutyun Harutyunyan stated that he would forego calling other witnesses to testify in the criminal proceedings against the editor of "Haykakan Zhamanak" since, as Mr. Harutyunyan put it, "The testimony so far given is proof enough as to the guilt of the defendant."
Prosecutor Harutyunyan then motioned the court to skip to the interrogation of Mr. Pashinyan himself. The defense did not oppose the motion. Pashinyan’s attorney, Lusineh Sahakyan, stated however that she might call some of the witnesses to the stand if the need arises. Judge Mnatsakan Martirosyan sustained the motion.
Nikol Pashinyan requested the use of a computer and more time from the court to prepare his statement. He said that he could only prepare such a statement by using a computer program.
Judge Martirosyan then declared a recess in the trial till November 27, adding that if penal laws did not prohibit the use of a computer during pre-trial detention, the court would not oppose such a move.
