At around 5:00 pm reporters and one observer were physically removed from their position near the ballot boxes in the Malatya 8/5 polling station. They reported that ballot box stuffing occurred afterwards. The reporters in question are Armineh Avetyan (168 Zham) and Lilit Tavevosyan (Tert.am). The election observer forcibly removed is Sona Ayvazyan from the group Transparency International. "We were seated next to the ballot boxes when they came and dragged us away to a far corner while hitting us. They stuffed the boxes and then left," says Sona Ayvazyan. Local election committee members and its president Petros Avetisyan failed to register the ballot stuffing incident or the beating of the reporters Armineh Avetyan added that, "Some twenty thick-necked guys came in, surrounded us and pushed us aside, hitting us with their hands. I got stuck in the hand with my pen and now it’s bleeding."
