Man Shot at Yerevan Gold Market Remains in Critical Condition

21_05-vosku-shuka5According to a "Hetq" source, it appears that a woman was the cause of gunfire around noon today at the Gold Market in Yerevan. 40 year-old Masis Nikoyan was struck by a least three bullets in the abdomen and his medical condition remains life threatening. Professor Peotr Ananikyan, the surgeon that operated in Mr. Nikoyan, told "Hetq" that the patient had lost a lot of blood and several internal organs were removed during the surgery to save his life. The recently released police report regarding the incident merely states that the Central police Division received a call from the Number 3 Clinic at 12:20 pm stating that Masis Nikoyan, a resident of Martuni, born in 1969, was transferred to their clinic with gunshot wounds to the abdomen, chest and head, and that the patient was able to communicate.
