Turks Want to Erect a Turkish Monument in Bratislava
The Forum of Armenian Associations in Europe reports that the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a campaign to build a Turkish monument next to an Armenian Genocide memorial in the heart of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
Recently, Forum President Ashot Grigoryan met with Bratislava Mayor Milan Ftacnik regarding the issue.
Mayor Ftacnik told Grigoryan that he was categorically opposed to a Turkish request to erect a Turkish monument of comparable size in his city.
