Veteran Journalist Larisa Paremuzyan Has Died

Larisa Paremuzyan, a long-time Hetq correspondent, has died.

Paremuzyan was the voice of Armenia’s Lori province. Living and working in the city of Alaverdi, she wrote about the residents of the province, their daily lives, and the issues that concerned them.

She held herself and her work to high standards and was deeply conscientious and responsible. She held Lori’s provincial and local government agencies, including law enforcement, accountable to the public. She loved journalism and was devoted to her profession.

Hetq’s editorial staff expresses its heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

I mourn the passing of this journalist, whose work I did not know. But seeing of her work as well as the accomplishments I think it is important that she be recognized and celebrated.
