U.S. Embassy Celebrates the 250th Anniversary of American Independence

On June 25, the U.S. Embassy in Yerevan welcomed Armenian friends and partners to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the independence of the United States and continue its Freedom250 commemoration, a yearlong initiative marking the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. This year’s celebration marked a historic milestone in American history and highlighted the enduring partnership between the United States and Armenia.

As part of Freedom250, guests had the opportunity to explore the “Founders Museum,” an innovative exhibition created by the White House that brings the story of American independence to life through interactive and AI-powered technology.

Guests also enjoyed American and Armenian cuisine, cultural exhibits, and live music by the United States Air Forces in Europe Winds Aloft Woodwind Quintet, a premier chamber ensemble based at Ramstein Air Base, Germany, which has performed for high-level officials, including presidents, ambassadors, and military leaders across Europe.

During the celebration, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires David Allen and guest of honor, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, highlighted the growing U.S.-Armenia partnership and the shared values that unite the two countries.
