Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival Becomes Member of FIAPF Network
The Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival is now part of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF), which officially recognizes only 50 out of over 5,000 global film festivals.
FIAPF, founded in 1933, accredits festivals that uphold high standards in programming, industry cooperation, transparency, and international collaboration.
This recognition affirms Golden Apricot’s significance as a regional hub for auteur cinema between Europe and Western Asia. The festival remains committed to supporting auteur filmmakers, discovering new talent, and fostering cultural dialogue through film.
Yerevan’s Golden Apricot Festival is one of six film festivals that have joined the list of accredited events for the first time, reflective of the greater diversity that FIAPF wants to encourage with its new approach and of their impact locally, regionally or globally.
The other five are Montenegro’s Herceg Novi, Canada’s Festival du Nouveau Cinema and Hot Docs, France’s Annecy and Spain’s Punto de Vista documentary festival.
