
Armenia to Host European Senior Karate Championship
Armenia will host the European Senior Karate Championship for the first time.
The games, to be held on May 7-11 at Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, are expected to attract some 1,000 athletes from fifty-four nations.
“Karate is a universal sport, and each time it provides an opportunity to see what contribution it can bring to the development of the sports life of a given country. I am confident "I am sure that sports fans will enjoy this tournament held in Armenia," said President of the World and European Karate Federation Antonio Espinos at a press conference today in Yerevan.
President of the Karate Federation of Armenia Vazgen Harutyunyan added that Armenia will host the 2027 European Junior and Youth Karate Championship, which will further contribute to the development of this sport in Armenia.
