Armenian Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan has been elected to the management board of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI).

The ENNHRI is a body of forty-seven National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) across Europe to enhance the promotion and protection of human rights in the region.

NHRIs are state-mandated bodies, independent of government, with a broad constitutional or legal mandate to promote and protect human rights at the national level. They can take different forms, including ombuds institutions, human rights commissions and institutes.
