Less Than Promising Start to Europa League for Armenians

Three Armenian teams participated in the first round of qualifying matches for the UEFA Europa League championship.

Yerevan’s Pyunik lost 3-0 at home to Montenegro’s Zeta.

Gyumri’s Shirak beat Rudar Pljevlja, another team from Montenegro, 1-0 at an away game.

Kapan’s Gandzasar lost 3-1 at an away game against Streymuri, a team from the Faroe Islands.

The return matches will be played on July 12.
