Russians in Armenia Launch Drive to Send Holiday Greeting Cards to Artsakh Children

Russians living in Armenia gathered in a Yerevan café today and wrote holiday cards addressed to the children of Artsakh who have been cut off from the outside world because of the ongoing closure of the Lachin Corridor.

"Let's break the blockade with words of love and solidarity. Friends, just five hours away from Yerevan, 120,000 people, including thousands of children, are cut off from the outside world,” write the Cards to Artsakh initiative organizers in a Facebook post.

They say the cards will be delivered to Artsakh at the first opportunity.

The organizers urge people to write their own holiday greetings and send the cards to them at [email protected]

“The only road to Artsakh, the Lachin Corridor, has been blocked for almost three weeks, and it is not clear when it will be reopened. It is beyond our power to open the road now, but we can help the people of Artsakh in other ways. please send congratulatory Christmas cards or letters to the children of Artsakh.”
