Ten Tons of Humanitarian Aid Shipped to Artsakh via Lachin Corridor

Ten tons of food and medicine were shipped to Artsakh from Armenia today, via the Lachin Corridor, with the mediation of the International Red Cross (IRC).

Zara Amatouni, who heads the IRC office in Yerevan, reports that four foreign nationals with chronic health issues were transferred to Armenia from Artsakh.

A group of Azerbaijanis claiming to be eco-activists have blocked the roadway linking Artsakh and Armenia for the past two weeks.

Russian peacekeepers have so far been unsuccessful in negotiating the reopening of the corridor.

An estimated 1,000 Artsakh residents, many children, have not been able to return home.
