Armenian Defense Minister Seeks Military Education Cooperation with U.S.
Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan, now on a working visit to the United States, stopped by the National Defense University (NDU) in Washington D.C. yesterday and discussed military education cooperation with NDU President Lieutenant General Michael Plehn.
The NDU, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, bills itself as “educating joint warfighters and other national security leaders in critical thinking and the creative application of military power to inform national strategy and globally integrated operations, under conditions of disruptive change, in order to prevail in war, peace, and competition.”
Papikyan, according to a statement released by his office, stressed the importance of developing cooperation between Armenia’s National Defense Research University and the NDU, especially in drafting a teaching methodology for Armenia.
Plehn said he’s ready to work with Armenia in this direction.
