
Russian, Azerbaijani FMs Discuss Armenia-Azerbaijan Normalization Process
The foreign ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan spoke by telephone today and discussed several regional issues including the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The Russian foreign ministry reports that Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov stressed the role of Russia in mediating a ceasefire to the 2020 Karabakh war and subsequent trilateral agreements.
The two also discussed bilateral agenda issues, including the implementation of provisions of the declaration of allied cooperation signed by the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan on February 22.
Lavrov is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan later this month for talks with top government officials.
