Armenian, Kyrgyz Parliament Speakers Discuss Cooperation
Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan today, in Bishkek, met with his Kyrgyz counterpart Talant Mamitov and discussed prospects for greater cooperation between their respective legislatures.
Simonyan, according to a statement released by his office, highlighted the constructive cooperation of the delegations of the two countries in the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly and other parliamentary platforms.
Regarding regional issues, Mamitov reminded Simonyan that the 1994 Karabakh ceasefire accord was signed in Bishkek, adding that “a bad peace is preferable to any war.”
