Putin, Pashinyan, Aliyev Discuss Karabakh Ceasefire Implementation

Russian Vladimir Putin, by telephone, discussed implementation of the Karabakh ceasefire with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev yesterday and today, this according to the Kremlin.

"It was emphasized, with satisfaction, that the ceasefire regime is maintained and the situation in the region is generally stable and calm. Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Ali praised the effective actions of the Russian peacekeeping contingent stationed along the Lachin corridor," the Kremlin said in a statement.

Issues on unblocking economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus were also discussed.  

Putin also exchanged views on Russian-Azerbaijani and Russian-Armenian cooperation.
