CSTO Discusses Deployment of Peacekeepers in Karabakh
Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Secretary General Stanislav Zas said during a meeting today with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko that the deployment of peacekeepers in Nagorno Karabakh is being actively discussed in the CSTO, this according to Belarusian service of the Sputnik news agency.
"The issue of deploying peacekeepers in the region is being actively discussed Sputnik cites Zas as saying.
Stanislav Zas and Alexander Lukashenko also discussed the situation in the CSTO region, in particular, the ongoing operations in Nagorno Karabakh, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus.
Earlier, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas stated that the Collective Security Treaty Organization has recorded the transfer of militants from Syria to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, but that it is still difficult to assess the scale of the process.
