
Armenia at Rio 2016 - One Gold, Three Silver
Armenia exits Rio 2016 with one gold and three silver medals.
Artur Aleksanyan won gold in the men’s Greco-Roman wrestling (98 kg) division. Aleksanyan’s gold medal is the first Armenia has won in twenty years.
Mihran Harutyunyan won silver in the men’s Greco-Roman wrestling (66kg) division.
Simon Martirosyan won silver in the men’s weightlifting (105kg) division.
Gor Minasyan won silver in the men’s weightlifting (over 105kg) division.
With its four medals, Armenia ranks 42nd out of the 206 countries participating in the 31st Olympics.
