Today, Judge Rubik Apinyan of the Kentron and Nork-Marash Court of First Instance threw out the suit filed by the Ijevan Municipality charging the "Investigative Journalists NGO" with slander and publishing false information. The Ijevan Municipality had petitioned the courts to exact compensation from the "Investigative Journalists" in the amount of 930,000 drams and demanded a retraction for articles appearing in "Hetq" it claimed smeared the good name and reputation of Ijevan Mayor Varuzhan Nersisyan.
