Shoushi Church Remains an Eyesore

By Dato Abraham

The Meghretsots Armenian Church in Shoushi (Artsakh) was built in 1838.

During the 1920 massacres it was severely damaged.

In 1960, the Azerbaijani authorities converted what was left into a summer movie theatre.

Today, the church remains in its former dilapidated state.
