On November 6, a Yerevan resident called the police to report that a baby was found on the doorstep of a neighbour.

The police arrived minutes later to find a baby wrapped in blanket with a note saying “Mariamik, born October 31, 2012”.  The note said that the parents could not afford to take care of the baby.

Police are conducting an investigation.
