Armenian Foreign Minister, Pakistani Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Agenda Development

Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Shafqat Ali Khan, the first Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan appointed to Armenia (resident in Abu Dhabi) since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, met today in Yerevan and stressed the importance of developing the bilateral agenda between their two countries.

They also discussed regional developments.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan received Ambassador Shafqat Ali Khan in connection with the presentation of a copy of his credentials.

Safaryan emphasized that the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Pakistan in 2025, based on the principles of the UN Charter, was a significant political decision by the governments of both countries.

Safaryan outlined the priorities of Armenia's balanced foreign policy, the efforts aimed at institutionalizing the established peace with Azerbaijan, and Armenia's approaches to fostering regional connectivity.
