Prosperous Armenia Party Fails to Make Vote Threshold for Parliament

The Prosperous Armenia party has failed to win seats in Armenia's next parliament.

The party, according to the Central Electoral Commission's final vote count issued today, received 3.989% of the total vote, a hair shy of the 4% threshold.

Prosperous Armenia and other opposition forces had called for a new vote in three polling precints. The CEC invalidated the vote in the precints and decided not to hold new voting.

Prosperous Armenia said the annullment was done intentionally to keep Gagik Tsarukyan's party out of the parliament.

The party announced that it will seek all legal means to enter parliament.

Three political forces will thus garner seats in the legislature.

Civil Contract – 64 seats

Strong Armenia – 29 seats

Armenia Alliance – 12 seats
