Lebanese Religious Leaders Condemn Israeli Attacks

On June 2, leading Christian and Muslim spiritual figures gathered at the Druze Community Center in Beirut and unanimously adopted a statement prepared by the Christian-Muslim Dialogue Committee that condemns Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

The statement also expresses solidarity with refugees, affirms support for the Lebanese government, and emphasizes the need to preserve national unity during this difficult period.

Dr. Jean Salmanian serves on the committee as a representative of the Armenian Church. Those representing the Armenian community in Lebanon included His Holiness Catholicos Aram I, His Beatitude Patriarch Raphaël Bedros XXI of the Armenian Catholic Church, and His Eminence Archbishop Shahe Panossian, Prelate of Lebanon.
