Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and other top government officials were on hand today to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Arthur Abraham Youth Sports Complex in Yerevan.
Former professional boxer Arthur Abraham, who purchased the site in the Armenian capital’s Shengavit district, attended the groundbreaking ceremony where the complex will be built.
The Armenian government has allocated AMD 2.3 billion (US$5.9 million) to build the complex.
Abraham held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including the IBF middleweight title from 2005 to 2009, and the WBO super-middleweight title twice between 2012 and 2016.
