Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan, on April 18 in Istanbul, met with Archbishop Sahag Mashalyan, Patriarch of the Constantinople See of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

The two, according to Simonyan’s office, visited the Church of the Holy Virgin Mary and toured the grounds of the patriarchate.

The two are said to have discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest.
