Centenarians in Armenia to Get AMD One Million "Tribute" Payout

Seventy-one people in Armenia will receive a one-time payment of AMD one million (US$2,650) this year under a government initiative to pay tribute to citizens who have reached the age of 100.

The government states the initiative symbolizes gratitude and respect for those who have lived one-hundred years serving their families, country, and society.

It applies to centenarians receiving pensions or benefits related to age, disability, or loss of a breadwinner.
