Five Athletes to Represent Armenia at 2026 Winter Olympics
Five athletes will represent Armenia at 25th Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo on February 6-22.
Armenia will be represented by cross-country skiers Mikael Mikaelyan, Katya Galstyan, alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan, and the figure skating pair Karina Akopova - Nikita Rakhmanin.
Armenia’s flagbearers at the opening ceremony will be the figure skating pair Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin. Their performances are scheduled for February 15 and 16.
The duo earned Armenia’s first Olympic quota in pair figure skating since independence.
Figure skaters Akopova and Rakhmanin will compete in the short program on February 6 and free skate on February 8.
Cross-country skier Katya Galstyan races in the 20 km skiathlon on February 7 and 10 km interval start on February 12.
Mikael Mikaelyan competes in the 20 km skiathlon on February 8 and 10 km interval start on February 13.
Alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan takes part in the giant slalom on February 14 and slalom on February 16.
The 25th Winter Olympics feature 116 medal sets across 16 sports.
