Armenia Transfers Two Mercenaries to Syrian Authorities

Armenia’s Ministry of Justice reports thatYousouf Alaabet al-Haji and Muhrab Mohammad Al Shkher, Syrian mercenaries who were apprehended by the Artsakh Defense Army during the 2020 Karabakh conflict, have been transferred to the appropriate authorities of the Syrian Arab Republic via the Republic of Turkey.

An Armenian court, in 2021, sentenced the two to life imprisonment on war crimes charges.

The two will continue to serve their sentences in Syria.
