Pashinyan: Armenia More Secure than Ever, Despite Global Turmoil
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan claims that, despite global turmoil, Armenia's security environment is more stable than ever.
Pashinyan made the claim during a discussion entitled “Armenia and Peace at the Crossroads of Risks and Opportunities” that took place at the XV Security Forum of the Armenian Institute for International and Security Affairs in Yerevan.
Pashinyan cited the recent joint U.S.-Armenia statement regarding the implementation of the TRIPP project as proof of his security claim.
Pashinyan stated that progress in Armenia-Turkey relations is expected to follow ongoing developments.
He highlighted the Armenian-US statement as a significant step toward formalizing peace with Azerbaijan, noting rapid advancements such as opening regional trade routes and establishing a railway connection for Armenia sooner than anticipated.
Pashinyan concluded his remarks by thanking international partners for their support.
U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien and the Head of the European Union Mission to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos, attended the forum.
