Pashinyan, Former New Zealand Prime Minister Meet in Yerevan

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan and Helen Clark, Chair of the Global Leadership Foundation (GLF), met today in Yerevan and discussed issues related to expanding regional economic cooperation and unblocking communication channels.

The GLF, a not-for-profit foundation registered in Switzerland, is comprised of former presidents, prime ministers, senior government ministers and other distinguished world leaders that offers private and confidential advice to Heads of Government.

Clark, according to Pashinyan’s office, said that she is in Armenia to participate in the meeting of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) Board and noted that the foundation's goal is to support democratic political leadership and good governance by making the experience of former leaders available to current leaders.

Pashinyan said Armenia seeks to closely cooperate with the GLF.

Clark served as the 37th prime minister of New Zealand from 1999 to 2008 and was the administrator of the United Nations Development Programme from 2009 to 2017.
