Following her visit to Yerevan earlier this week, U.S. Under Secretary of State Allison Hooker travelled to Baku and met today with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

The two discussed issues akin to what Hooker and Armenian officials talked about in Yerevan– the TRIPP project, the unblocking of transport links in the South Caucasus, and the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process.

The importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of regional stability, energy security and expansion of transport corridors was stressed according to a statement released by Bayramov’s office.

Hooker and Bayramov also discussed Azerbaijan-US bilateral cooperation, as well as regional and global security issues.
