Turkish Airlines Plans Direct Flights to Armenia
Turkey’s Hürriyet Daily News reports that Turkish Airlines, the country’s flagship carrier, plans to launch direct flights to Armenia against the backdrop of efforts to mend ties between the two countries.
The newspaper cites a filing, approved by the carrier’s board of directors, with the Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).
KAP is an electronic system for thepublic disclosure of required notifications and financial statements from companies in Turkey’s capital markets.
The announcement, according to the newspaper, states that further details, including the start dates of the flights, will be shared in due course.
Turkish Airlines’ management emphasized that the new routes will be shaped according to market conditions and passenger demand.
