Pashinyan Reprimands PACE Deputy for "Zangezur Corridor" Usage
Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan today severely reprimanded a PACE deputy for using the term “Zangezur Corridor” during a Q&A at the organization’s fall session in Strasbourg.
Pashinyan reminded the deputy from the European Conservatives that the term “Zangezur Corridor” is not used in the peace agreement that Armenia and Azerbaijan signed on August 8 in Washington D.C.
Pashinyan advised the deputy to read the document, stressing that it’s vital to use the terminology present in that and other official documents.
“Using terminology not accepted by Armenia violates our sovereignty,” Pashinyan declared.
The Armenian prime minister called on his Azerbaijani colleagues to stop using the “Zangezur Corridor” wording, pointing out that the document Baku initialed on August 8 uses the term TRIPP – Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.
