Armenia’s Investigative Committee (IC) reports that one person has been arrested in connection with the September 23 shooting death of Parakar community (Armavir Province) Mayor Valodya Grigoryan.

While the IC doesn’t specify a motive for the attack that left another person dead and one injured, 24News reports that Criminal Police Chief Vardan Vardanyan claims the attack was a revenge killing.

The website, citing the website, reports that the man arrested, Narek Ohanyan, is the brother of Grigor Ohanyan who was killed in February.

Valodya Grigoryan’s brother is one of the defendants in the February case.
