Artsakh: When the Doors of Your Homeland are Closing
The conflict between Artsakh and Azerbaidjan started in the post-Soviet Era.
The conflict between Artsakh and Azerbaidjan started in the post-Soviet era. The territorial dispute for the right of Armenians to live in their historical homeland sparked wars in 1988-1994, 2016, 2020 and finally, in 2023, resulting in the ethnic cleansing of Armenians from their homes in Artsakh. Some of them, despite the danger, have relocated to Armenia, close to the border with Azerbaijan
During the period 2020 to 2023, Azerbaijani military aggression resulted in thousands of Armenian casualties, both military and civilian, most of whom are still missing, and some who are still held captive by Azerbaijan.
In the autumn of 2023, Azerbaijan committed ethnic cleansing, forcibly removing Armenians from Artsakh. The doors to their homeland were closed for more than 130,000 people.
