Armenian Highschoolers Win Three Medals at Astronomy/Astrophysics Olympiad

Armenia won two silver and one bronze medal at the 18th International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) held in Mumbai, India.

The Armenian highschoolers were led by Hrant Topchyan of the Yerevan Physics Institute and Artashes Mkrtchyan of the Specialized PhysMath School in Yerevan.

At last year’s 17th IOAA held in Rio de Janeiro, the Armenian team won three bronze medals.
