
Armenian Minister of Justice, Indian Ambassador Discuss Justice Sector Issues
Armenian Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan and India’s Ambassador to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha met today in Yerevan and discussed issues related to convicts serving their sentences in Armenian penitentiary institutions.
The two, according to the minister’s office, also discussed the work being carried out to develop a new constitution for Armenia.
The ambassador described India's successful experience in introducing digital, including artificial intelligence, tools in the justice sector, and in this context, potential Armenian-Indian cooperation was explored.
The minister described the priorities of her office: strategic reforms implemented in the fields of judicial, penitentiary and probation, the fight against corruption, and the protection of human rights.
