Armenia’s Gor Nersisyan has won the country’s first-ever medal at the 60th EKF Senior Karate Championships in Yerevan.

Nersisyan’s bronze is post-Soviet Armenia’s first medal in the EKF Senior Karate Championships.

Armenia is hosting the European Senior Karate Championship for the first time.

The games, being held on May 7-11 at Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, are expected to attract some 1,000 athletes from fifty-four nations.
