Pashinyan Marks May 1, Labor Day
To mark International Workers’ Day, also called Labor Day in some countries, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan focused on the concept of work as a tool to make the life of an individual and society better.
He had little to say about the rights of workers.
“Labor, of course, is a necessary but not sufficient condition for making the life of an individual and society better, because only effective labor brings satisfactory results, and in order to be effective, labor must be based on knowledge, continuously developing skills, that is, education and training,” Pashinyan said in a statement issued on May 1.
Pashinyan said expanding one’s knowledge necessarily means that one must recognize that there is much more to learn.
“This applies to everything: craft, art, entrepreneurship, agriculture, pedagogy, state, military, community service, labor and leadership, and those states and societies that are guided by this logic have achieved and continue to achieve prosperity,” according to Pashinyan.
