Armenian Defense Minister to India for Talks
Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan left for India today in what his office describes as a “working visit”.
While the ministry is short on details, Papikyan’s trip to India is seen as further evidence of growing defense cooperation between the two countries.
Papikyan travelled to India in October 2022 and met with India counterpart Rajnath Singh.
A month earlier, India announced a US$245 million arms deal with Armenia. The deal includds Indian-made Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers, anti-tank rockets and various types of ammunition to Armenia.
