Armenia: Births Down, Deaths Up

Armenia’s birth rate decreased by 8% and its death rate increased by 5.2% in 2024 compared to 2023 according to the country’s National Statistical Service (NSS).

33,648 babies were born in 2024, compared to 36,590 in 2023. 25,576 people died in 2024.

The NSS reports Armenia’s permanent population as of January 1, 2025, was 3,075,800, compared to 2,991,200  as of January 1, 2023.
