Armenian Foreign Minister, German Bundestag Official Discuss Bolstering Relations
Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Anton Hofreiter, Chair of the Committee on EU Affairs of the German Bundestag (national parliament), met today in Yerevan and discussed efforts to expand cooperation between Armenia and Germany, both in bilaterally and in the framework of the EU.
Mirzoyan, according to his office, stressed ongoing reforms in Armenia to bolster democracy, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights as a sign that the Armenian government is committed to expanding cooperation with the EU.
The two also exchanged views on regional issues.
Mirzoyan presented Armenia's vision for establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus, including the latest developments in the process to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
